Oneness with the environment lends ease to the flow of chi,
Defined by the poetry of mist, it celebrates change and transitoriness.
Our life is a canvas, it is for us to paint.
The brush stands for the masculine principle, the ink for the feminine.
The yin and yang are the conservation and flow of chi.
Water is important,
it is the ever-flowing resilience of both the Way itself and chi.
Atmosphere and space create a "rhythmic flow...of design;
pliability, endurance, and continuous movement.
Within this movement we find our place in this gigantic universe.
Dance your dance, in this universe.

Eagle Spirit Woman
Eagle Spirit Woman a native of the Bronx, was born Nancy Martinez, to Aurea &
Pedro Martinez natives of the Taino tradition. She is Mother to a son and a
daughter and Grandmother to four granddaughters. At an early age, her parents
realized that she had the gift of spirit and the messages that were being
communicated by these unseen energies. . Eagle Spirit Woman's mother nurtured
this gift by taking her to sances where she developed the skill of healing with
her hands (santiguos). She also developed a sensitivity and skill for removing
negative energy from those afflicted, as well as the method for passing on
positive energy and blessings to assist individuals in moving forward. She has
further had the experience of assisting in the healing of seriously ill people.
Eagle Sprit Woman's father taught her the traditions and rituals of the native
Taino ancestry and asked her to "always remember not to allow anyone tell you
that because of the color of your skin that you aren't native". Eagle Sprit
Woman was also initiated into the Yoruba tradition in 1993 and has 10 "crowns"
to her credit.
"My gifts are many as I have been given the responsibility of pouring water in
the Inipi ceremony (sweat lodge),and have had the honor of pouring for many
nations. I have performed Shamanic journeys with my drum and facilitated talking
circles. I have healed with herbs and cleansed off negative energy from this
life and the past lives of those in need. I have also poured for children. I
have had the honor of participating in spiritual ceremonies in many traditions
and have contributed my medicine. I have the ability of channeling spirit guides
and animal totems. To see is to believe. I am what in my native tradition is
known as a "curandera" (one who has the ability to cure)
